While we have been given responsibility to be the people of God here in our part of Lincoln, we are part of a huge worldwide family of believers and we seek to play our part in helping others in their mission and ministry wherever they are.
We are currently partnering with God’s people in:
Mission Aviation Fellowship
MAF’s concern is that nothing should stop people from receiving the love of God and the essentials of life – no matter how remote they are. Their vision is to see ‘isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ’s name’, believing that everyone deserves a chance to experience the love of Jesus Christ. They use aviation and technology, because in many places those are the only ways to reach isolated people with Christ’s love. For over 70 years, MAF has been flying light aircraft over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts. This ministry enables over 2,000 other aid, development and mission organisations to bring medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope to thousands of communities.

St Peter’s has had a long term commitment to South Sudan, the world’s newest country which emerged out of years of civil war. This has led us to support the ministry of Anglican International Development (AID), a Christian charity working to relieve poverty in the name of Jesus Christ through long-term, sustainable solutions which empower and enable citizens. AID works closely with local churches to develop healthcare, sanitation, agriculture and microfinance, as well as seeking to strengthen the churches themselves. We are currently supporting a project to train healthcare workers so desperately needed in South Sudan, and we are also funding the training of a pastor for the South Sudanese church.

Kip’ is originally from Kenya but having spent half his life in the UK, he felt called to return to Nairobi. In 2017, he and Rachel moved to Nairobi together with their 4 children (Elijah, Ezra, Susanna and Bethany) to lead a church plant there in a rapidly expanding suburb – a bit like the Carlton estate!

Closer to home, we support:
Food in School Holidays
FISH is an innovative local charity which helps churches to show the love of Christ to local families by providing food in school holidays to those who would normally receive free school meals in term time. The project seeks to support these families by giving them free vouchers that can be used at various local shops and businesses in exchange for food. We currently run the project in two of our local schools in partnership with Bailgate Methodist Church.
The Joy Foundation
The Joy Foundation is a local charity witnessing to the love of God in our local schools. As well as providing some financial support, members of the congregation are also involved as volunteers.
