Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
As Christians we need to encourage each other all the time, but how much more so now! We want to make sure everyone is connected in.
All regular members of our congregations now have a lead contact with St Peter’s
We will aim to keep connected with you throughout this time. If you don’t know who yours is please ask!
If you are already in a Rooted Group…..
Be proactive in keeping in touch with one another regularly. Help each other out as you are able. Get ready for digital groups (see below)
If you not part of a Rooted Group, join a virtual one!
We’d love to connect you up with others in the church family who can encourage you through this time.
We will be the church “scattered” for some time, but we want to encourage as much digital gathering as we can, to encourage one another to keep our spiritual fervour, to be joyful in hope, patient on affliction and faithful in prayer. We will be preparing material for Rooted Group discussion based on each week’s passage and we hope you will find a way of getting together online to discuss, pray and encourage one another. There are obviously a number of platforms you can use to try and do that “face to face”– facebook messenger, whatsapp, skype or googlehangouts. The staff team have had great fun trialing Zoom, an online platform specifically designed for this task – you can even give yourself some fun backgrounds with one on the beach, up a mountain or even in space! If you need some help getting digitally set up do please let us know. We’ve learned a lot these last couple of days!
